Job Description:

The Fixed Income Trading Team is seeking a trader to primarily cover North American securitized products trading. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with senior traders and portfolio managers, multiple internal groups, and the sell-side, in order to provide best execution, maintenance, and market flow information for investment activities in securitized products markets. Fundamental knowledge of the securitized products market and familiarity with the recent regulatory environment is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with senior traders to provide best execution for Fixed Income PM teams

  • Work closely with senior traders and PM teams to assist with maintenance, liquidity needs, and trade structuring to achieve efficient execution

  • Provide insight into market activity and disseminate market intelligence and flow information, engaging with the sell-side and providing input on counterparty relationships

  • Work both independently and with other BlackRock teams to develop technology to enhance work flow and analysis across the platform

Qualifications:

  • Experience with securitized products

  • Fundamental competence with basic fixed income concepts (CFA is preferred)

  • Strong quantitative skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency are vital

  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize demands in a high volume, high pressure business

  • Familiarity and/or experience with the current regulatory environment

  • Ability to work in entrepreneurial environment and to be a motivated and adaptable self-starter

  • Excellent communication skills are a must
