BlackRock’s Global Digital Wealth Group’s core mission is to accelerate our efforts to deepen our relationships with wealth management partners through technology and data science. Our digital products – including iRetire, FutureAdvisor, and our partners iCapital and Scalable Capital – are reaching tens of thousands financial advisors and millions of end investors. We view our Digital Wealth group as central to BlackRock’s future and as a strategic asset to transform the Wealth management industry.

Job description

We are seeking a high-energy, mature, inquisitive, and commercial analytical leader who is excited to work in a dynamic, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment that will be the future growth engine for the world’s largest asset manager. As a member of the Digital Wealth leadership team, the new leader will be responsible for build our data-driven decision making capabilities across our full range of digital products globally (including all of our web properties) and engagement strategies (including sales and digital marketing).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the language of measurement, methodology and consistent analytical framework for all of our digital wealth properties (including our public web properties)

  • Generate insights to support decision making across our sales teams, marketing/digital marketing and portfolio solutions groups

  • Partner with digital product development teams to inform and shape our product development roadmaps

  • Partner with our digital engagement teams to define and optimize engagement tactics and drive product adoption (e.g., understand adoption bottlenecks, conversion points, AB testing, personalization)

  • Define executive metrics measurement and insights. Define process to set goals and measure progress towards them

  • Innovate and bring in cutting edge analytical tools, techniques and data visualization capabilities

  • Coordinate with our technology & data platform teams to ensure our infrastructure supports all key analytical needs

  • Become of a strong leader in BlackRock’s vibrant data science community

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or quantitative field

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in data analysis or related field. (e.g., as a statistician / data scientist / quantitative researcher, head of analytics)

  • Experience in a commercial role and/or management consulting at a top firm strongly preferred

  • Commercial and strategic mindset; strong business acumen

  • Strong teamwork, partnership and influencing skills, EQ, empathy and humbleness

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Demonstrated ability to work towards strategic goals in a fast-paced environment

  • Cutting-edge technical skills and experience with modern analytic techniques, tools and data visualization packages

  • High degree of familiarity with web analytics, SQL, relational databases Python, R, Java, or similar languages

  • Curiosity and interest in the application of machine learning, recommendation systems, natural language processing, computer vision, pattern recognition and artificial intelligence
