JetBlue Airways Senior Analyst IT Portfolio Engineering in Long Island City, New York
Position Title: Senior Analyst, IT Portfolio Engineering
The Senior Analyst, IT Portfolio Engineering will be responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of IT’s delivery pipeline, with a focus on project prioritization, budgeting, tracking and capacity planning.
The Senior Analyst, IT Portfolio Engineering will apply quantitative methods coupled with a broad business background to solution, socialize and implement streamlined project delivery processes across IT and its matrix partners. The Senior Analyst will design processes based on industry best practices that facilitate the collection, analysis, communication and application of project performance and financial data. This role will partner with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that processes are understood, valid, and adhered to.
In addition, this role is responsible for onboarding, integrating and innovating upon tools which are necessary to support project delivery processes into JetBlue’s existing IT environment. The Senior Analyst will work in close partnership with other project delivery teams to facilitate the implementation of these innovative solutions throughout IT and, as needed, the entirety of JetBlue.
Design and implement IT’s project delivery processes to ensure that IT initiatives result in high value outputs, supporting on-time delivery and on target budget
Configure IT project delivery tools in keeping with database architecture best practices to allow for seamless integration with existing IT systems (i.e. Spotfire) and meaningful reporting to stakeholders
Integrate and innovate upon existing project delivery tools with the broader IT environment to allow for seamless data collection, analysis and communication
Develop and document an approach for onboarding project delivery tools and processes to business partners and matrix partners on an as needed basis
Support the re-engineering of IT’s annual budgeting approach in collaboration with Finance and relevant stakeholders
Survey, develop and maintain industry awareness as it relates to IT project delivery and socialize learnings to IT Leadership and relevant stakeholders
Work cross-functionally with all IT delivery functions, including IT Delivery Operations, Portfolio Management, and Finance to drive innovative delivery solutions
Oversee and continuously evolve the IT intake process for new initiatives, including Steering Committees, Assessments, and corresponding PPM tools.
Develop strong working relationships with all IT Portfolio stakeholders to encourage transparency, open communication and trust between all parties
Other duties as assigned Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or related discipline
Three (3) years of experience in Management Consulting, Process Engineering or related field
Two (2) years of project portfolio management experience (project intake, resource planning, demand management, budget management)
Advanced knowledge of Data Analysis and Visualization principles
Experience with Workfront, Jira, SharePoint,, MS Project, Microsoft Office tools
Effectiveness working diplomatically across teams with varying objectives.
Ability to work well under limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy
Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
Must be able to acquire and maintain valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or related discipline
Working knowledge of scripting languages for data analysis and API integration (i.e. R, Python)

Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
