Kforce VP of Technology - Telephony/VoIP/AD/Exchange in New York, New York

Kforce is working with a growing Travel and Tourism firm located in New York, NY that is seeking a Vice President - Information Technology. This position will be located on-site at their New York City Headquarters and will report directly to the CIO. Please note that experience overseeing ACD Telephony in a distributed VoIP environment is critical for this position. The Vice President will be responsible for oversight of the technology platforms needed to support our enterprise infrastructure and initiatives, with an emphasis on managing a hybrid environment utilizing internal teams for core business needs, managing vendor relationships, cloud capabilities and IaaS as applicable.Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a member of the firm's management team as a direct report to the CIO

  • Participate in developing strategic technology plans linked to firm's business plan so that technology's capabilities are responsive to the needs of the enterprise

  • Oversee VoIP, data center and Windows Server systems including both on premise and cloud deployments

  • Oversee the Omni Channel Automated Call Distribution VoIP platform which integrates with Mitel core telephony and Microsoft Exchange

  • Manage outsourced IaaS professional service

  • Guide End User Support team which aids over 800 users

  • Lead efforts for upgrading infrastructure and supporting processes on which firm's business operates, while ensuring technology is in place to effectively secure our corporate networks/data and enable more robust physical security in our environment

  • Provide infrastructure services vision, enable innovation and leverage IT trends that can create business value consistent with the organization's requirements and expectations

  • Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with all stakeholders within the enterprise

  • Management of two direct reports at the manager level and eight indirect reports

  • 10 years in an IT management position

  • Experience in successfully leading a team to migrate from on premise infrastructure to outsourced/cloud services - from business case development through technical execution and change management

  • Thorough knowledge and experience in planning, deploying and maintenance of technologies including Windows Server (2008, 2012) Administration, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server, anti-virus solutions and backup solutions

  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing a budget in excess of $1M

  • Experience overseeing ACD Telephony in a distributed VoIP environment

  • Experience overseeing a geographically distributed Windows network

  • Experience overseeing a Microsoft Exchange Email environment

  • A demonstrated track record of successfully balancing outsourced vendor relationships with internal staff in a hybrid environment

  • Superior people management skills with a proven record of developing and communicating organizational objectives; inspiring and motivating team members to achieve results

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication/presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Information Technology

  • Experience with the Mitel Telecommunications platform

  • Experience with the Genesys Contact Center Suite

  • Travel/Hospitality Industry experience
