Bank of America Senior Technical Project Manager - Equities Architecture and Data in New York, New York

Job Description:

The Equities Architecture and Data Lead is seeking a Project Manager to help project manage multiple and large scale horizontal global programs. This candidate will help support, organize, track key milestones, reviews projects/deliverables (with dev team leads) in addition to tracking dependencies/cross dependencies. Ensure those project plans are updated in the project tracking tools and act as the key face-off with the Equities COO team for any support needs.

The candidate will manage the day to day operational aspects of the architecture and data teams for ensuring application development teams are following processes (including education and training) and procedures for engaging in an architecture design review, what the process is for enterprise data requests and queries. Support the demand intake process and assist in prioritizing those requests.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to expand outside of the project manager role to learn data and architecture best practices and to also get involved in business analysis and problem solving where appropriate.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders. Understand resource allocation and priorities

  • Understand project scope, risks, issues

  • Assist in developing detailed project plans and supporting those plans. Updating project status updates in the project tracker tool

  • Develop document repository strategy and best practices for how we store and maintain any relevant documentation for easy access by internal team members and Equities Technology.

  • Measure project performance and identify opportunities for measuring performance/success.

  • Keep management aware of any risks and issues and assist with how to mitigate where appropriate.

  • Assist in taking meeting minutes at meetings and track of actions, collect any content, organize any followup meetings where necessary.

  • Manage and develop relationships cross teams within Equities business and technology (e.g., enterprise, LOBs)

  • Innovate and find opportunities to optimize how we project manage projects/deliverables as well as operational efficiencies.

Requirements :

  • 10+ years of experiencing managing large scale global programs in a large financial organization

  • Ability to work in fast paced/stressful moving environment (this person will be required to help organize all the moving parts in a large organization)

  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience or working knowledge of system development life cycle/agile methodologies

  • Experience understanding business/operational processes and systems in front office. Knowledge of Equities trading flows

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong MS Office and tools for project management

  • Strong JIRA/Sharept skills

  • PMP is a plus

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in business or technology
