The Jewish Board Senior Program Director in New York, New York

OVERVIEW:
The Senior Director provides leadership and oversight to the Brooklyn Supportive Residential Housing Portfolio. The Senior Director is responsible for clinical, operational, fiscal and administrative oversight of the programs. S/he provides on-going supervision to Program Directors. S/he cultivates and maintains relationships with State and regulatory bodies, including OMH, DOHMH and HUD as well as with community organizations and partners. The Senior Director supports and implements new initiatives and projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:
* Ensures overall clinical, operational and fiscal oversight of assigned programs
* Supervises Program Director(s) who have primary responsibility for programs
* Assists programs in utilizing established, effective interventions to achieve defined, meaningful outcomes
* Provides leadership and vision to assist programs in achieving goals; continually improving performance and meeting challenges proactively and effectively
* Ensures that programmatic systems are in place to meet all client safety and service needs
* Ensures that physical facilities/sites meet appropriate safety and aesthetic standards
* Ensures appropriate training and supervision is provided to all staff; develops and provides training
* Develops and implements new programs, projects and initiatives
* Ensures relationships with partners and community representatives/groups are established, developed and maintained
* Ensures compliance with internal and external policies, procedures and regulations
* Ensures development and adherence to program budgets and maintains programs’ fiscal viability
* Collaborates with Program Directors and other Jewish Board programs/departments to solve problems/issues
* Utilizes data to inform planning, service delivery and overall management
* Participates in agency and external committees and initiatives
* Participates in external committees and coalitions
* Available and on-call 24/7 to assist in managing and responding to urgent situations and client crises
* Works collaboratively with executive administrator
* Provide leadership and direction to staff including the development of talent
* Provide vision and execution of service delivery that meets the emerging needs of adults in a shifting social service environment
* Ensuring quality of care and high clinical standards are met (as evidenced by independent program reviews, positive client outcomes and low numbers of adverse events)
* Being a strong steward of agency resources as evidenced by programs meeting productivity and utilization goals as well as delivering financial results in line with budget
* Ensuring service delivery and program operations are in compliance with regulatory requirements and standards

Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible administrative and programmatic management experience required working in supportive housing and/or managing programs for individuals whom were formally homeless with mental health and substance abuse disorders required. Knowledge of the use of EBPs preferred. Position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, collection and use of data which helps to inform and achieve programmatic objectives and outcomes, and innovative organizational and supervisory skills. Special attention given to applicants with experience in change management. An LCSW, LMSW or related degree is required.
