Dewberry has an immediate opening in our New York, NY office for an Electrical Engineer with 6 years or more of design experience in electrical light and power systems, fire alarm systems, public address system, clock system, telephone system, intercom system, master antenna cable TV system, intrusion detection alarm system and access control system for commercial, industrial and institutional facilities, subways, tunnels, bridges, highways and toll plazas.
Prepare electrical engineering calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications, project schedules and cost estimates to meet project requirements.
Serve as the Electrical Project Engineer of assigned projects.
Conduct site visits and field inspections of electrical systems.
Attend meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree from an accredited university.
Applicants should have a minimum of 6 years direct experience in related electrical engineering design.
Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
Ability to coordinate the work of multiple disciplines.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
Proficiency in SKM Power Tools and Visual Lighting software.
Electrical Engineer with a New York PE License is required or qualifications to obtain New York PE License within 6 months of hire.
LEED AP certification is a plus.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage a group of electrical and multiple disciplines engineers.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
