The Regional Cargo Team Leader role is a highly-collaborative position which requires both a strategic vision and the ability to manage day-to-day challenges in support of North American Cargo Practice Leader. In this role you will have ultimate accountability for leading a Cargo Region to complement the overall North American Cargo Practice Strategy. Critical to the success of this role is driving business growth, profitability, the ability to lead and build a Team. As such, you will oversee Regional sales opportunities and drive the strategy set forth by the North American Cargo Practice Leader, including managing your own clients and prospect list. Also, the Regional role will require you to work closely with business and Line of Business (LOB) heads, Lead Client Relationship Directors and industry leaders. The Regional Cargo Team Leader role will play a critical part in the overall growth and success of the Marine Practice. In this role you will have both external and internal responsibilities.
Successfully deliver all goals in support of North American Cargo Practice, including growth, profitability, staffing, and delivery of products and services.
Promote our brand by actively integrating Cargo risk management solutions into the broad array of Willis Towers Watson client services.
Collaborate with other leaders, Producers, Client Managers, Marketing, and Intellectual Capital leaders to help build drive profitable results.
Increase our market share by personally initiating, managing, supporting sales opportunities (this would include heavy involvement in responding to RFP’s) and efforts on mid- and large-sized client and prospect relationships.
Successfully manage your own book of accounts to mainly be comprised of large and mid-sized clients.
Retain our existing clients by ensuring effective management and to effectively manage regional client deliverables.
Support North American Cargo value propositions, intellectual properties and product development.
Drive the Willis Excellence Model (WEM) for your Region
Positively impact the Willis Towers Watson clients and employment brand in the marketplace.
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
Recognized as a subject matter expert in the Cargo insurance space.
Extensive knowledge of the available products and services in the Cargo insurance space
Excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of guiding and developing people.
High levels of business and financial acumen with an understanding of company strategy and change management.
Proven track record of delivering new business against challenging sales goals
Well-developed communication, negotiation, influencing, problem solving and planning skills.
Extensive commercial market knowledge and relationships with Insurance Carriers
Strong organizational skills
Strong facilitation skills- able to use inclusive and collaborative styles to manage ambiguity and gain agreement.
Must have a P&C Broker’s License
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to travel as needed
