Client is seeking a Project Director/Program Coordinator with the principal responsibility of leading project teams in support of CAVD PIs, and with the additional responsibility of coordination of a number of other efforts in support of the CAVD..

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Project Manager Lead on the team for one or more development projects, with the primary responsibility for:

  • Establishment of project development plans, including Target Product Profiles, Regulatory plans, Clinical Development Plans, and annual milestones and budgets for the associated work.

  • Achievement of the annual milestones and keeping the project on target, liaising with the CAVD Principal Investigator and other team members that they may depend on to provide updates on progress, and plans.

  • Provide leadership in defining project strategy and decision points

  • Develop integrated and interdepartmental project schedules

  • Interface with vaccine designer, vaccine developer, and clinical testing teams associated with the Vaccine Development Plan

  • Prepare project status reports, background documentation, and VDP reports as required

  • Participate in regular project management reviews and scientific advisory committee meetings providing project status reports and addressing ongoing project priorities

  • Supervise staff and consultants as required to achieve project milestones

Experience and Skills:

  • PhD in life science or commensurate experience

  • Over 5 yrs experience in project management of vaccine development projects. Preferably from bio-pharmaceutical industry

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Commitment to client's mission

  • Experience with international projects is highly desirable

  • Knowledge of GLP, GCP and /or quality assurance and regulatory affairs associated with vaccine development is highly desirable

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
