Job Description

DealBook at http://www.nytimes.com/pages/business/dealbook/index.html , The Times’s business news platform for C-level decision-makers, policy officials and everyone who intersects with them, is looking for an energetic reporting assistant in New York.

The ideal candidate is an ambitious, capable reporter with excellent writing skills, an easy demeanor and the willingness to go the extra mile -- whether in providing reporting help to DealBook staff, promoting our journalism on social channels or engaging with readers.

Requirements:

  • 1 - 2 years of business journalism experience

  • Experience in various content management systems and social engagement tools

  • Strong background in all things digital journalism

  • Strategic thinking, solid news judgement, ability to successfully work and communicate with team members based in multiple time zones under tight deadlines

  • Creativity, curiosity, enthusiasm and impressive organizational skills

  • Generally fun to be around
