19016BRPosition Title:Kodak Film Lab TechnicianPosition Description:Kodak Film Lab Technician (Kodak Film Lab, Astoria, Queens NYC) Main Function:A Film Technician will operate within multiple areas of the laboratory – this includes, but is not limited to; Film dark-room loadingChemical preparationNegative assemblyFilm cleaning Quality control functions, including sensitometric and physical process control.Maintenance and other machine preparation in order to maintain high quality processing services.Administrative work including logging, data entry and reports. Reports to:Lab Manager Main Responsibilities:Ensure that film processing produces consistent quality results by running the appropriate pre-run checks.Ensure laboratory environment and all operating equipment is maintained and kept clean and tidy at all times. Dirt prevention is critical to process quality.Log all work correctly and follow the work-orders as provided by the manager.Follow all internal operating procedures conscientiously with particular attention to HSE policies.Maintain a professional image for the company at all times. Daily Responsibilities:Duties are likely to include:Machine preparation for processing.Ensure chemicals and solutions are at optimum operating levels.Clean and eliminate sources of dirt and dust from the operating environment.Ensure regular and accurate logs are kept in accordance with lab operating procedure. Control stock of chemicals and other consumable supplies and report requirements to lab managerAny other operations requested by the lab manager necessary to effectively fulfil the requirements of the customer.Relationships:This person will be conscientious, self-motivated and attentive to detail.Willing to work unsociable hours and often at short-notice.Ability to form favourable relationships with co-workers and management.
