The Information ManagementSoftware Engineer Director - Delivery Lead - is responsible for the developmentorganization within the Customer Vertical and Data Shared Service. This lead isaccountable for developing and maintaining a diverse suite of interrelatedsoftware, data products and services; the overall application quality andcompliance with service level agreements; development and maturation of thepeople, processes and technology within the team.

This lead isresponsible for the quality of both applications and their underlying dataquality. They partner internally with Architecture teams to define and maintainbest practice standards; and work externally with business leaders with aparticular focus on their business domain. The lead ensures compliance tostandards, which include: documentation, architecture, data modeling, coding,data movement, data quality, testing, reporting and monitoring/alarming. Theirsuccess is measured by high-quality, high-velocity software delivery.

Major Dutiesand Responsibilities:

• Deliveractionable reports, insights, and recommendations to internal & externalbusiness users

• Partner withbusiness leaders to define priorities and negotiate on features & scope

• Set andmaintain a leading edge technology strategic roadmap with respect to the Data,Analytics, & Reporting space

• Drive UserExperience thought leadership and business properties

• Translatebusiness requirements into meaningful data, information, analytic, andinteractive experiences

• Lead userresearch, concept testing, and usability testing

• Lead team incollaborative development of prototypes for demonstration of concepts

• Develop anddocument detailed user experience specifications for highly interactiveinterfaces

• Manage,motivate and lead development leads

• Strengthenand grow IT capabilities of the team through a combination of internaldevelopment and partnerships with strategic vendors to ensure growth anddevelopment of future leaders and bench strength

• Develop andmonitor contractual agreements with external vendors

Scope andDimensions:

• Reports tothe Senior Director responsible for the overall IM Customer and Data SharedServices strategy and execution

• Capable ofdriving alignment across the technology organization and balancing trade-offsbetween value, time, cost and quality

• Capable ofdriving decisions specific to meta-data and configuration concepts

• Deliversenterprise grade software solutions through tight collaboration with businesspartners management of line managers accountable for delivery

• Able to guidethe design and implementation of large scale technical systems


• 10 years ofprogressive hands-on technical experience as well as 5-8 years of fulllife-cycle software development managerial experience

• Demonstrated ability and experience in providing cross-organizationalmanagerial leadership for application development, business intelligence,analytics and reporting

• Ability to guide, mentor, and grow technologists

• Ability to integrate people and teams

• Ability to interact with business executives in business terms

• Ability to work effectively and constructively with business partners toresolve design issues and negotiate project related items (e.g., priorities,financials, resources, deadlines).

• Ability to lead the implementation of technical solutions that include manyintegration points across many different organizations (internal and external)

• Demonstrated ability to delegate and empower others

• Solid commercial software engineering skills

• Strong knowledge of industry standards and techniques in development andtesting

• Experience with agile development methodologies

• Experience with version control and defect management systems

• Experience with data architecture, data modeling

• Experience with Teradata, Hadoop and Big Data technologies a strong bonus

• Ability to influence technical discussions and decisions

• Strong work ethic and sense of urgency

• Experience with fast-paced start-up software development environments

• Experience with hiring, staffing and staff development of technical leaders

• A BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related degree required
