Title: Global Vice President of Ecommerce Operations

Reporting to: Sean Foster, SVP Global Ecommerce

Location: New York

Role Description

The Global Vice President of Ecommerce Operations will work closely with the SVP, Global Ecommerce as well as the divisions and markets to define business needs for ecommerce (DTC) to propel growth and work with technology stakeholders to define technical solutions at the local and global level. He/she will create operational plans to rollout technology solutions at the global and local level working together with key business stakeholders. The Global Director of Ecommerce operations will help to define and innovate the long-term ecommerce technology stack/solutions working with SVP, Ecommerce as well as key business and technology partners such as supply chain, Beamly (in house digital agency) and Coty IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with divisional, market and brand team leads to define business strategy for ecommerce

  • Identify and design test/pilots to explore consumer value propositions

  • Translate business needs/strategy into a technical ask (to be defined as part of new process)

  • Act as ecommerce lead, working with technical partners to define technical requirements/solutions

  • Own requirements for technical solution working with business leads and global ecommerce market leads

  • Work closely with market teams to develop store P&L’s

  • Work closely with ecommerce divisional team leads to develop operational rollout plans

  • Work closely with ecommerce team leads to design ecommerce pilots/tests

  • Translate ecommerce pilots/tests into operational programs leveraging internal and external solutions/partners

  • Assist with annual planning including long-term solution planning for global ecommerce technical solution

  • Work closely with Coty IT on all ecommerce development planning, including SAP integrations

Special skills required:

  • Open and accessible Leadership style, with the ability to consistently achieve positive results

  • Deep subject matter expertise on DTC operations and technical solutions

  • Proven track record of building and growing DTC revenue

  • Proven ability to work with external technology vendors and internal IT teams

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the e-commerce landscape and KPI`s, digital marketing, e-retail- and brand strategies, with the ability to apply this knowledge to solve complex problems successfully

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to listen to understand, and to translate the company/brand strategy to e-retailers and enroll them in support of strategies

  • Strong negotiating skills with the ability to influence up one or more levels and at top to top levels across Coty and the customer organization

  • Ability to work effectively within a fast paced, complex matrix and changing environment

  • Ability to develop reporting staff to full potentials and to build leaders for the future

  • Flexibility to travel as required

  • Affinity with Beauty
