Job Description:

The Director, Mergers & Acquisitions will be located in the New York City office. The position is part of a seven person Mergers & Acquisitions team that is responsible for transaction analysis and financial modeling. The Director will report to the Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions. Domestic and international travel is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Director, Mergers & Acquisitions, will lead transaction evaluation and execution including assembling the project organization, running due diligence and leading negotiations, and will support integration with the acquiring business unit. The Director will produce financial and strategic assessments of acquisition and divestiture targets, will perform valuation analysis and will work with financial and valuation models. The Director will participate in business plan analysis, financial and business due diligence, and project management. The Director will formulate proposals for transaction terms and will be responsible for negotiating transactions. The Director will produce work product in the form of presentations, spreadsheets, information memoranda, term sheets, etc. The Director will maintain transaction information in the Company’s databases. He/She will have ongoing contact with international business executives at all levels of seniority. The position involves about 15 to 20% travel, both domestically and internationally.

Skills and Experience, required:

At least ten years’ M&A experience, in a large, corporate or institutional setting, is strongly preferred.

BA/BA in business related field (Accounting, Finance or Economics), required. MBA preferred.

Excellent transaction analysis, financial modeling and quantitative skills are required. Experience in transaction project management and due diligence is required.

Ability to take on several projects in parallel is required.

Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to lead and work well with teams, and potential to develop internal client relationships.

Must be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
