The Corporate Investor Relations (IR) team is part of the Finance organization, which supports the Board and senior management in optimally positioning the firm to create shareholder value. The primary goal of the IR team is to educate and update current and prospective shareholders and analysts about the strategic direction and financial results of the company.
The Investor Relations Senior Analyst/Director works to successfully implement an investor relations and financial communications plan in support of the overall business strategy. The Investor Relations Senior Analyst/Director assists with the communication of the Company’s financial results, historical performance, and business strategy to investors and financial analysts. Responsibilities include analyzing and interpreting financial, operational, and other related data for the Company, its competitors, and other market players to prepare financial and other material press releases, presentations, talking points, Q&A documents and other key messages.
Provides financial and analytical investor related communications support to the Head of IR and contributes to adhoc analyses in support of the Investor Relations function
Builds and maintains relationships with sell side analyst community including reviewing analyst models
Assists with communications between the Company and the investment community, particularly financial analysts and investors
Assists in the planning, preparation, drafting and distribution of Investor Relations related documents, including earnings and other material press releases, Q&A documents, talking points/scripts, key messages, documents, quarterly and annual reports, and conference and Investor Day materials
Conducts investor targeting for investor conferences, non-deal roadshows, and other investor meetings
Maintains and updates Investor Relations calendar, including scheduling investor/analyst calls, earnings conference calls, investor conferences, nondual roadshows and onsite meetings
Creates and updates Investor Relations binders and fact sheets
Develops investor analytics, insights and targeting from company CRM system as well as broker intelligence
Monitors competitor and market information obtained from analyst reports and media sources; complies relevant information into summaries for distribution to key internal associates
Manages Investor Relations portion of the Company’s website, including the creating and updating of content
Researches investor inquiries and requests for information, as directed by senior management
Develops a thorough understanding of the Company by partnering with finance to understand drivers of financial results and the financial planning process
Develops understanding of other lines of business to understand the Company’s strategic, business, regulatory and competitive landscape
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
7+ years in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 3 years experience in investor relations/finance/accounting, with a demonstrated understanding of financial statements and metrics (for a Director level we typically require more than 3 years of experience)
Intermediate ability to drive multiple projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to communicate complex information in an easy to understand format
Strong interpersonal and training skills
Ability to communicate effectively across management, as well as with external contacts
Advanced computer proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and ability to quickly learn skills in various cloud based data and CRM systems
