NCR Desktop Support Technician, Manhattan, NY in New York, New York

Provide On-Site Desktop Support for all BMW employees in Manhattan office. Support includes break fix and software support of desktops/laptops/Macbooks. The technician will also need to perform rollouts and will also at times perform network changes such as enabling and or disabling ports.Technciian will provide some Cisco call manager support to activate create profiles. Service tickets will be sent through ITSM and assigned. Must be willing to work within a team and be flexible with covering one of two shifts to help each team member out. Prior desktop support is a must as well as extensive customer service experience. Training will be for 1 - 2 weeks in Woodcliff Lake, NJ before starting in Manhattan.   • High School diploma or equivalent (though an Associate’s Degree is preferred).

  • Up to three years of related experience (but more than that is always a plus).

  • A Certification, PC skills, basic electronic skills, and some specific hardware and operating system familiarity.

  • Knowledge of systems architecture, database management systems, and network and systems management systems.

  • Amazing flexibility and a positive attitude. No. Matter. What. (We’re talking some nights, weekends, overtime, flex shifts, and being on call to keep our customers happy.)

  • A strong back. This position may require prolonged travel, rotating shifts, carrying and lifting tools and parts weighting up to 50 lbs., and bending, squatting, walking, standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time.
