HLW International LLP Design Strategic Planner in New York, New York
Responsible for strategic analysis and space planning for various design projects that meet the expectation and needs of clients; perform space planning and analysis (including critical adjacencies, block stacking, furniture plans, interior finish, test fits, 3D diagrams) to determine structural and building elements to better accommodate furniture and equipment placement; perform research in workplace design and participate in workplace strategy and planning projects, applying ergonomic principles to the design; responsible for FF&E (furniture, fixture, and equipment) selection and documents that comply with all applicable building codes; coordinate with global strategy and design team to ensure that the specifications determined by the team fit the big picture strategy of a given project; collaborate with various teams to identify, evaluate, and recommend technical solutions to support project requirements; participate in client interviews and workshops to ascertain clients' needs, goals, and requirements as well as understand strategic needs.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Architecture or interior design plus 2 years in job or 2 years professional experience in interior design involving commercial and corporate interiors. Experience must include 1 year in all aspects of design project from inception to execution and 6 months in FF&E selection & utilizing AutoCAD, ReVit, and Adobe Indesign.
