This role requires an individual who is relentless with details, a self-motivated problem solver, and a true team player.

Responsibilities
* Proven design expertise and innovation driver in the Boy's performance/lifestyle categories
* Successful in identifying go forward trend, culture, color and consumer trend knowledge, and market shifts in Boy's performance and lifestyle active apparel.
* Make accurate assessments of the competition
* Technical prowess in the performance apparel category
* Ability to manage multiple priority projects and development calendars
* Ability to design brand appropriate product within the financial targets
* Ensure construction and materials enhance the athlete's wearing experience
* Create technical drawings of construction and details so that information is interpreted exactly as intended
* Select materials based on their functional properties, aesthetics and costs while in support of the design
* Proficient with garment fit and construction and able to independently conduct fit sessions with technical design partners
* Ownership of design tech packs, color CAD briefs, color briefs, and seasonal line sheets
* Manage Associate Designer

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Required:
Education/Degrees:
* BA/BS Degree required or AA Fashion Degree with 9 years of equivalent experience
* People management experience

* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Functional expertise in technical fit & construction
* Multi-tasking ability
* Demonstrate technical/creative ability
* Ability to learn and take direction
* Self-motivated
* Sketch freehand and technical
* Ability to work in team environment
* Computer literate
* Mac, Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, PLM

Required travel: Must be able to travel domestically & internationally
