The Ongoing Performance Assessment (OPA) group focuses on assessing performance of complex quantitative models used throughout the firm, including complex pricing models, risk models, and empirical models used in major lines of business, including Investment Bank. Team members have opportunities for exposure to a variety of business areas and projects.

Core responsibilities:

  • Quantify ongoing model performance: metrics, criteria, tests, methodologies, etc

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance quantitative code in Python

  • Perform in-depth, heavy-duty empirical data analysis

  • Identify potential model weakness used across the firm

  • Ongoing tracking of model performance systematically

Desirable skills, experience, and qualifications:

  • Excellence in knowledge of high-level programming language (Python or C/C++ or Java)

  • Experience in database or big data preferred

  • Excellence in probability theory, stochastic processes, statistics, econometrics, and numerical analysis

  • Very strong analytical and problem solving abilities

  • PhD or MS in Math, Finance, Econometrics, Physics, Engineering, or Statistics.

  • Good communication skills

  • Experience in derivative pricing models preferred
