Serving others is at the heart of everything we do at Memorial Sloan Kettering. When you work in a role within our Patient Support Services team you’ll be creating a caring and comfortable environment for our patients and their families, to make a difference each and every day.
We require a Materials Management Coordinator to assist our Materials Manager at our main hospital in midtown Manhattan. Working within Patient Support Services, the Materials Management Coordinator will assist in managing the materials and equipment needs of our Acute Care Nursing and Critical Care team.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm, with some flexibility required.
Dedicated to providing superior service and maintaining an upbeat atmosphere of partnership and continuous improvement.
Able to work effectively in an energizing environment to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and respond to changing priorities.
Interested in collaborating on projects with multiple and diverse teams.
Capable of performing administrative tasks with a high degree of accuracy, including database management.
A desire to build a long-lasting career within our Patient Support Services team.
Passionate about cancer research and patient care.
Provide administrative support to the Materials Manager, including calendar management, word processing and data entry tasks.
Work closely with the Materials Manager to assure the flow of the materials and equipment needs of our Acute Care Nursing and Critical Care team.
Act as a secondary liaison between Materials Management and Acute Care Nursing/Critical Care
Provide consistently excellent customer service to all of our stakeholders.
Participate in projects, such as floor renovations and new product launches. This will require you to work effectively with many stakeholders from all levels of Memorial Sloan Kettering.
Collect information and maintain databases for the team.
A Bachelors degree (required).
At least two years’ experience working in administrative roles.
Experience working within customer service and team environments.
Intermediate to advanced skills working with Excel spreadsheets.
