Coty, Business Manager, In-store sales, (brands include but not limited to Gucci, Chloe, Tiffany, Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs, & Miu Miu fragrances)

MISSION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Manager is responsible for sales management duties pertaining to their assigned location.

Main responsibility is to achieve retail sales targets at the door level as well as interface with the store management to ensure Coty is a preferred vendor. Management and coaching of in-store sales associates. Communication and partnership with sell through SDE to strategize and execute activities that are critical to achievement of retail sales targets. Work together with SDE in implementing the strategies of the company and providing a competitive presence at point of sale v/s the competition.

Development Responsibilities:

• Management of a team of 9+ employee’s

• Recruiting, interviewing and retaining & developing quality staff

• Preparing mid-year and year-end reviews gaining input from Sales Development Executive/Store

leadership

• Managing the achievement of counter sales plan by helping each associate meet or exceed personal

sales per hour goals based on counter volume standard

• Implementing effective scheduling to guarantee proper coverage at all times based on business needs

• Staffing according to daily/weekly/monthly sales plan to maximize counter productivity

• Utilizing Bloomingdale’s promotional calendar to maximize associate sales per hour

• Communicating information clearly and consistently to the selling team by using the following skills:

• Focusing on specific behavior outcomes

• Using reinforcement techniques

• Asking for Feedback

• Setting Goals and Follow up Dates

• Conducting weekly team meetings as well as meetings prior to major events and launches

• Communicating inventory needs to store management & Sales Development Executive

• Analyzing daily/weekly/monthly business and recommend strategies to impact business to store

management and Sales Development Executive

Sales Responsibilities:

• Meeting or exceeding personal sales goals as well as counter goals

• Develop a seasonal strategy for achieving the sales plan; responsible for the achievement of daily and monthly sales goals.

• Being a role model and demonstrating excellent selling skills, clientelling skills and customer service.

• Executing successful promotions and special events

• Driving sales through customer clientelling utilizing B’connected & developing client relationships by ensuring an exceptional client experience.

• Working with store management to optimize business

• Identifying and reducing shrinkage in area

• Plans, coordinates and executes events with regard to the store, department and corporate calendar

• Continues to seek out future opportunities for brand growth.

• Is the brand expert/department representative.

• Consistently upgrades product knowledge in order to drive sales.

Skill Requirements

Selling Skills

3-5 years of selling fragrances & cosmetics

Management Skills

2-5 Years of experience managing a team of 3+ employee’s in a retail selling environment

Entrepreneurial Skills . Demonstrate capability in developing solid strategies and plans. Align, engage and support others. This position will fit an individual who has demonstrable strengths, organizational, team management and communication skills and a real 'urgency to get the job done'

Strategic Thinking . Ability to identify opportunities and prioritize projects. This position needs an individual who will strive to deliver not only the base line numbers but look for opportunities to deliver the stretch results.

Priority Settings . Must be able to clearly prioritize their work managing multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines.

Collaboration . Proven ability to work effectively across functions and geographies, internally and externally, recognizing and leveraging the full diversity of Coty people and our partners to drive creative business solutions.

Communication Skills . Engaging and clear written communication and verbal presentation skills in English. The job will require regular high level contact with Senior Managers (Coty and retailers).

Strong initiative and follow through . These skills are key for the role. Operates with Discipline and drives internal/ external partners to do the same.

In Touch . Capacity to understand the market trends/needs and competition to identify business opportunities and develop plans to grow share.

Fluent in English is required, Spanish is a plus

Experience/Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
