Bank of America Business Analyst/Project Manager in New York, New York

Job Description:

You will be working as part of a team in Credit & Munis Trading Technology. The projects you will be managing have high visibility and will enable you to collaborate and broaden your exposure to different areas of Technology, Front Office, Enterprise Risk and all business partners, specifically focusing on the Credit & Munis Trading businesses. You will be working on projects delivering Front Office Risk to our Credit and Muni Trading Businesses. You will need to help manage the current Results Database work and releases for BAU. This is a critical system for every business.

What will I be doing?

Daily responsibilities will be in depth business analysis for certain projects and ensuring all release cycles for Risk Engine, including running meetings with our development teams to coordinating business requirements . Plus you'll need to ensure all projects are running according to plans, risks, issues and dependencies are managed and escalated appropriately and that all projects are reported correctly and consistently to senior management and project stakeholders. You will be also required to manage daily activity – running meetings, taking minutes, driving requirements, updating project plans and managing risks and issues.

Skills we look for:

• Business analysis and practical project management experience

• Knowledge of financial products and Fixed Income derivatives

• First-rate written and communication skills and comfortable presenting to stakeholders.

• Excellent problem solving abilities and a detail-oriented approach

• Working knowledge of technologies and Software Development methodologies.

Desirable:

• Credit Derivative Knowledge

Applies technical knowledge in determining end to end design requirements for large projects involving line of business, software/hardware developers and vendors. Work closely with business partners to define strategies for technical solutions, determine requirements, and develop functional designs based on the analysis of line of business needs, objectives and existing systems infrastructure. Drives and participates in design, development and implementation of large and complex enterprise wide applications, often using new technologies. Work closely with developers and testers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans and scripts serve customer needs. May manage projects including responsibility for a project and project budget. Works under minimal supervision on enterprise wide projects requiring creative solutions. IT degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience. Typically requires a minimum of 5-7 years of applicable experience.
