Kforce Business Analyst in New York, New York

Kforce has a client that is searching for a Business Analyst in New York, NY.The project team is responsible for executing all steps in the project life cycle (initiation, planning, business requirements, functional design, build, test planning and execution and implementation) including, but not limited to the following:

  • Defining project scope, stakeholders, risks and issues

  • Gather data and reporting business requirements from each line of business

  • Liaise and effectively communicate the requirements with technology partners (data champions, report building team)

  • Work and support the project managers of the programs for communication of status updates to senior stakeholders

  • Build and maintain working relationships with stakeholders in the different businesses our team supports (e.g., Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities, F&O) and functions (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Technology, Operations, etc)

  • Coordinate working group meetings, setting the agenda, preparing meeting materials, documenting minutes and ensuring clear ownership of action items

The current position will concentrate on the FDIC OLA and Article 71 Programs:

  • Ownership of line of business stream or function within the above 2 programs

  • Partner with Compliance, Technology and Operations stakeholders to understand, plan and resolve data defects and issues across multiple CIB systems; some data defects may evolve into mini implementation and operational model changes projects

  • Partner with technology to understand the data defects and underlying root causes, agree on potential solutions and follow up through implementation and testing

  • Keep tracker of all open requirements/defects/issues and ensure they are being worked on and closed in an efficient manner

  • Help coordinate, plan and oversee the execution of testing across multiple systems and lines of business

  • 4 years of business analysis, business process or technology project experience

  • Familiarity/Functional product knowledge across CIB asset classes

  • Good knowledge of Investment Bank businesses and high-level transaction flow

  • Excellent multitasking and prioritizing skills

  • Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong analytical, data management and problem solving skills

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills

  • Ability to understand complex issues, summarize impacts and effectively and comfortably communicate with senior management

  • The candidate must be a self-starter who is able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment

  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently

  • Ability to execute tasks under aggressive targets and effectively manage to changes in plan

  • Ability to critically challenge when warranted with the goal of resolving issues

  • Good negotiation skills with stakeholders (Line of Business, Legal, and Technology)

  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc) and PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project desirable

  • Knowledge of Regulatory Reporting a plus
