Job Details:

We are seeking an Administrative Manager for the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences who will be responsible for administrative, clinical support, staff management, information management and program development activities for the Department.

This is a unique opportunity in which this position will have oversight for ambulatory clinic operations and work processes supporting the consult-liaison inpatient practice as well as the academic office practices.

You will:

  • Ensure efficient and effective operations and excellent patient care and administrative research activities.

  • Oversees the clinical operations for the Counseling Center in addition to the academic faculty office practices.

  • Oversee the facilities issues for the Departmental space across three sites (Counseling Center, Breast & Imaging Center space and 485 Lexington Avenue space).

  • Oversee all of the Departmental training and educational activities, including clinical and research fellowship programs and the COMSKIL Program (Communication Skills Training Program).

  • Assist with operating budget development.

You need:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in an academic medical setting required.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Operations experience preferred.

  • Fellowship program and financial experience is preferred.

  • Analytical skills required include the ability to analyze and manipulate financial and statistical data.

  • Presentation skills include sharing and participating in meetings.

  • Written skills required include the ability to compose and edit a variety of documents.

  • Must be able to interface with management staff, handle Confidential information, work under pressure, prioritize and make independent decisions.

  • The position requires a Mature minded, detail-oriented team player with good business judgment.
