We are seeking an Administrative Manager for the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences who will be responsible for administrative, clinical support, staff management, information management and program development activities for the Department.
This is a unique opportunity in which this position will have oversight for ambulatory clinic operations and work processes supporting the consult-liaison inpatient practice as well as the academic office practices.
Ensure efficient and effective operations and excellent patient care and administrative research activities.
Oversees the clinical operations for the Counseling Center in addition to the academic faculty office practices.
Oversee the facilities issues for the Departmental space across three sites (Counseling Center, Breast & Imaging Center space and 485 Lexington Avenue space).
Oversee all of the Departmental training and educational activities, including clinical and research fellowship programs and the COMSKIL Program (Communication Skills Training Program).
Assist with operating budget development.
Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in an academic medical setting required.
Master’s degree preferred.
Operations experience preferred.
Fellowship program and financial experience is preferred.
Analytical skills required include the ability to analyze and manipulate financial and statistical data.
Presentation skills include sharing and participating in meetings.
Written skills required include the ability to compose and edit a variety of documents.
Must be able to interface with management staff, handle Confidential information, work under pressure, prioritize and make independent decisions.
The position requires a Mature minded, detail-oriented team player with good business judgment.
