Hyatt Event Service Manager in NEW YORK CITY, New York

The Event Service Manager is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. The responsibilities of this role will act as lead with all internal communication within the hotel staff. Working closely with clients to gather information regarding their programs. Menu detailing and suggestive selling to customers. Planning and organizing all details for both corporate groups and high-end personal family visits. This individual will act as the onsite contact for all in-house groups working closely with the hotel operations team and the sales managers and directors. The position also requires working with billing details, rooming lists and all planning details as well as produce invoice and final billing for the groups upon departure. The Event Service Manager also works as a team member with the sales and catering staff to in close contact with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.

- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multitask
- A minimum of 2 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
Previous planning/service manager experience preferred
Knowledge with Envision, EAS, and EMS preferred
Proficiency in Arabic preferred
