_Duties:_ Analyze the key trends that impact the industry environment; analyze new opportunities and competitor strategies and develop long range strategic options and alternative plans for consideration; responsible for initiating and completing 2-3 major studies per year, often with outside consultants (such as US natural gas trends and development economics, E&P competitive analysis, climate implications, review of pan-industry exploration performance); provide regular studies for review by the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Operating Committee, including annual analysis of industry environment, trends, and recommendation of strategic opportunity areas, planning and price guidance, and E&P performance analysis and benchmarking; and work with external experts on country political risk analysis and new country entry approvals.

_Requirements:_ Master's degree in Economics, Energy Economics, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires 2 years of experience in: 1)Analyzing and forecasting oil and gas field development planning; 2)Economic modeling; 3)Commercial analysis; 4)Performing analysis of accruals and variance; 5)AFE planning, monitoring, and reporting; 6)Providing ad hoc reports and presentations; 7)Conducting sensitivity analysis; 8)Applying understanding of global oil and gas markets; 9)Utilizing knowledge of key oil & gas players and their assets; 10)Keeping up to date current events and geopolitics affecting oil & gas prices; 11)Corporate financial analysis; 12)Oil & gas accounting; 13)Bottom-up macro oil modeling, including sensitivity analysis; 14)Utilizing Bloomberg, WoodMac, IHS CERA databases; 15)Providing ad hoc reports and presentations.
