The Reserve Manager will
Be responsible for a cluster depletion based P&L of Reserve Brands. The P&L is not a stand-alone, it is a reflection of the cluster’s annual plan. However it will be a reflection of actual value creation by the incumbent to the cluster’s annual plan.
Establish targeted account base, secure dedicated distributor resources, drive promotional and imagery based activity in order to deliver annualized depletion and profit targets at the cluster level
Establish, navigate and manage community-based organizations, thought and image leaders and establish our Reserve brands as the preferred choice for leading edge events and charitable galas. Candidate must also be able to navigate corporate gift giving as well as establish credible reward and recognition programs for corporate presentations.
Work with TBA National account teams with accountability for chains located within the geographic area to drive premium luxury propositions within all environments.
Effectively provide leadership and training to a distributor sales force and cluster for markets to deliver cluster level growth targets for Reserve Brands. He/She will be responsible for Reserve program creation, sales activities, planning, budget analysis and distributor scorecard
Manages individual T&E budget / Suggested Distributor Reserve margin /Manages Reserve price promotion spending and all local tactical funding. Responsibility for Reserve Brand Spending including distributor initiatives
Responsible for a multitude of Sales and Marketing activities, including but not limited to: 1. Achievement of Fiscal Sales goals by distributor and Total Market. 2. On &Off premise brand distribution, IRI, POS allocations and Customer analysis. 3. Pricing: Manage Diageo price structures, Suggested Distributor pricing and margins, competitive activities, retailer margins, scan/DA analysis and effectiveness
Distributor Management : Ensure all Reserve Brand programs being implemented effectively and on a timely basis. Manage monthly Scorecard execution and all tactical budgets. Execute Quarterly Business Reviews with Distributor GMs and direct reports.
Budget Analysis : Effectively manage Diageo Sales T&E account and Diageo tactical budgets by market.. Create budgets based on P&L discussions with Cluster. Work closely with Cluster Marketing , Reserve Trade Marketing and direct and implement management and implementation of the sales agenda across Open/Control/Franchise States creating a territory of significant size and scale.
College graduate with 5+ years relevant experience that should include:
Sales experience with a major CPG company, premium/luxury goods company, Premium/Super Premium wine. Mainstream Luxury sales experience to department stores, Premium/Luxury sales in a 3 rd party environment (Pens, fabrics, glassware)
Familiar and comfortable with managing luxury products in channels other than controlled retail/proprietary distribution channels.
Exposure & experience working with cross-functional teams
Experience calling on retailers - both single and multi unit - selling conceptual programs that are value based. Track record of success in creating deeply leveraged relationships
Documentation of success delivering Sales goals and objectives
Excellent communication and presentation skills and a wide comfort range in dealing with an exceptionally diverse community, distributor, lifestyle and economic customer base.
