The role is a member of the Policy and Document Management team within Model Risk Management – Model Governance. Model Governance is responsible for firm-wide model strategy, updating and maintaining policy, interfacing with regulators and Internal Audit, project management of remediation, training, quality control and assurance (i.e., attestations management, exceptions management).

This position involves interaction with MRM senior management, stakeholders and subject matter experts, and provides a unique perspective on the management of model risk at Citi, spanning all businesses, risk and product areas. In particular, this position is responsible for:

• Development, implementation, review, approval and maintenance of the Citi Model Risk Management Policy in partnership with policy stakeholders and subject matter experts

• Identify requirements for documented procedures based on a gap analysis of current procedures against end-to-end model risk management process flows

• Development, implementation and maintenance of standards and procedures to ensure execution of processes and activities required by the policy and regulatory guidance

• Management of the policy, standards and procedures team; identification of process enhancements and efficiencies, and drive quality execution of regulatory commitments

• Oversight, review and maintenance of the procedures catalog

• Contribute to the implementation of strategic initiatives

• Provide support and backup to the Policy and Documentation Management team in the delivery of its mandate

Qualifications

Knowledge /Experience

• A Bachelor’s or higher degree in a discipline such as Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics preferred and 7+ years relevant experience

• Experience in working with regulatory authorities and internal / external auditors

• Strong understanding of risks and controls across multiple product types and businesses

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - ability to express and communicate concisely and clearly

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Ability to identify root causes of problems and anticipate "horizon" issues

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well with team and deal with staff across multiple disciplines

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
