The role is an Asset Servicing Risk based Middle Office role supporting the larger global client facing team. The candidate will be assisting the wider Middle Office team in managing complex and high risk asset servicing issues/events. Detailed understanding of corporate action risk coupled with the ability to pre-empt issues on complex and unusual events is imperative. In addition to the day to day functions managing immediate risk issues, the role will encompass a high degree of strategic development working closely with operations, product and technology teams to create a model which enables the bank to identify and better manage risk hot spots within the corporate action event lifecycle.
Some of the key responsibilities of the position are:
Partner with client facing middle office and client service to manage any risk associated with client elections across all voluntary corporate actions
Ensure client instructions for high risk corporate actions are received and approved
Understand the security movements and cash flows associated with each corporate action
Manage all client inquiries as they relate to corporate actions
Candidate must have/be:
Strategic thinker with track record on conceiving/implementing process improvement
Risk focused and execute control awareness
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to pull the detail out of complex issues/processes and articulate in a manner that can be clearly understood by senior management
Client service experience and an understanding of the Custody business
Self starter who take initiative and can work independently
Strong time management skills
Daily responsibilities will involve using several applications as well as the standard desktop. Thorough Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint knowledge a must
