ICL Program Director in Brooklyn, New York

Overview:

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the daily clinical and administrative operation of the schoolbasedmental health program, including interactions withclients, clients'families, school personnel, interdisciplinary personnel, and local and state governing bodies,ICL personnel and administration,N.Y. State Office of Mental Health.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL*TASKS:*

  1. Establish compliance with state and city regulations

  2. Provide direct clinical supervision to clinical

  3. Provide skills training to families, school personnel,and

  4. Provide classroom-based consultation and training in behavior management and inclusion theory and

  5. Provide administrative supervision to all

  9. Lead interdisciplinary team disposition committee.

  10. Train staffinthe maintenance of clinical records in compliance with all city,state, and federal regulations as per the city Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Alcoholism Services, the State Office of MentalHealth,and the State of New York Department ofHealth.

  11. Coordinate research and evaluation of project; collects data, completeselectronic submission of data on a regular basis,and submits written quarterly and annual reports.

  12. Schedule in agency training/in-service programs in conjunctionwith OMH and other participatory school

  13. Reportweekly toDirectorof Clinical Operations

  14. Consult with school personnel as needed for crisis intervention.

  15. Performother dutiesasrequired.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Education:PhD, PsyD, orMaster's degree in social work,orrelated field, and valid state certification.

Training and Experience:5 years minimum clinical experiencewith children andfamilies. 3years minimum progressive administrative and/or managerial experience.

Job Knowledge:Must have an excellent understanding of state OMH and DOH andcityDMH regulations. Superior writtenandverbal communication skillsare a must. Successfultrack recordof leading diverse interdisciplinary staff is essential.
