National Grid Manager, RCoE Demand Management & Continuous Improvement in Brooklyn, New York

_About the Position: _

This position reports to the Director, Reporting Center of Excellence and is responsible for leading and managing reporting and demand management processes and partnering with customers to drive continuous improvement by increasing productivity, accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.

_Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):_

  • Manage a Center of Excellence for defining, documenting developing, implementing and maintaining reporting processes using software tools, spreadsheets and reports to support business decision-making. Proactively seek opportunities to enhance operational efficiency through best practice

  • Lead a highly motivated, innovative and customer focused finance team, developing talent and a performance management culture that drives value through staff engagement and successfully meets/exceeds all relevant targets and objectives within the business unit

  • Lead the delivery of change across Finance and the Business, role-modelling new ways of working and owning delivery of key outcomes to drive the improvement of long-term business capability

  • Lead the execution of relevant end-to-end reporting processes, including those partially conducted by the service provider, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with internal and external controls

  • Manage RCoE service level agreements (SLAs) and assess key performance metrics (KPIs)

  • Manage demand management process and prioritize new report requests

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in MIS or financial discipline with increasing responsibility

  • Experience working with accounting / finance systems and general ledgers

  • Knowledge of finance processes and terminology

  • Technical and functional proficiency in finance modules

  • Project management and problem solving skills

  • Effective collaboration and partnership capabilities

  • Manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

  • Excellent written / oral communication skills and follow-up
