The Jewish Board CPI Coordinator in brooklyn, New York

OVERVIEW:
Under the direction of the Director of Performance Improvement, the Continuous Performance Improvement (CPI) Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Developmental Disabilities Division’s quality improvement activities, including project implementation and training of regulatory/oversight deliverables, incident management, developing improved systems in partnership with clinical and program staff, and supporting the measurement and management of program performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
* Facilitate the Division’s performance and quality improvement initiatives, supporting the active involvement of all staff in CPI activities as they relate to client care, including:
- Monitoring and evaluation of quality client care and service delivery, evaluating organizational needs and risk management
- In partnership with administrative and c linical departments, identifying areas of risk and improvement and supporting the developing of performance improvement plans
- Identifying and implementing metrics for tracking the performance improvement plans, reviewing findings with staff at all levels
* Supports the Division’s incident management practices, including
- Ensures the accurate reporting, follow-up and review of incidents in the agency’s electronic system
- Conduct investigations following OPWDD and Justice Center protocols to ensure compliance, including manage external regulatory communication and systems.
- Present at the agency’s Incident Review Committee (IRC)
- Reviews and prepares data analysis of incident trends and their disposition to present to the Director of Performance Improvement.
* Coordinates and monitors the implementation and adherence to regulatory and agency
* around reporting, documentation and record keeping, and provision of client care via chart audit and quality improvement systems; communicates with the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and other regulators as needed.
* Develop and coordinate training for all Division facilities on new initiatives, regulatory deliverables, documentation, and best practices, including orienting newly hired staff in performance improvement.
* Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in related field required, Masters Preferred. Experience with the I/DD population recommended; strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, ability to engage staff at all levels of the agency; organized with an ability to work independently to complete projects and a high degree of computer proficiency; excellent writing and presenting, listening and problem solving skills
