Responsible for managing operational success and financial profitability across all functional areas such as operations, marketing, sales, maintenance, risk management, and fleet, delivering company programs, initiatives and solutions within the city. As a City Manager, you will serve as a business partner, leading, managing and developing your assigned city and play an integral role in its success.
Duties and Responsibilities
Achievement of operational goals and financial objectives.
Maximize sales revenue by exceeding performance targets.
Accurately forecast location financial outcome based on projected rental volume.
Proactive fleet management to maximize revenue and minimize asset costs.
Ensure efficient utilization and effective control of vehicle inventory.
Full completion of all tasks related to the GUEST Sales Management Program.
Understand and interpret location financial statements.
Analyze market data and communicate opportunities to Regional Vice President and Incremental Sales team.
Provide ongoing support to Location Managers by training, coaching and motivating.
Give specific performance feedback to each employee on a regular basis.
Coordinate hiring and retention of all personnel.
Maintain effective employee staffing levels based on estimated rental volume.
Manage required administrative tasks, controls and reports.
Ensure unparalleled customer satisfaction and address customer issues in a timely manner.
Implement, administer and monitor location safety program.
Adhere to company policy and procedure.
Other duties as required
Some college, technical or military completion required; Bachelor s degree preferred.
3 - 5 years management experience in car rental industry and/or related management experience
Demonstrated successful understanding of P&L management
Analytical skills that diagnose numerical trends and target root causes of below standard performance
Ability to organize and express ideas and information clearly and accurately utilizing excellent communication skills both face to face and written
Flexibility to handle multiple tasks in an organized manner, and work nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to perform data entry and computer entry tasks, excellent administrative, organizational skills including excellent Microsoft Office skills
Ability to work individually and within a team environment to effectively manage stressful and challenging situations
Must be at least 21 years old and be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screens.
Must have a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record (i.e. no more than 2 moving violations within the last 2 years and no DWI/DUI's, suspensions and/or at fault accidents within the last 2 years).
Must have the flexibility to work day and/or evening hours, as well as weekends/holidays as needed
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Ability to communicate in other languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese, Hebrew, German, etc.) is a plus.
